The Prairie
The prairie spreads wide out before me
It’s green and red and purple
The pascflowers hiding in the grass
The rose bushes blooming as we pass
And the wheat sprouting green in the field
And the sky is as blue and as wide as newborn baby’s eyes
As the prairie spread wide out before me
The prairie spreads wide out before me
It’s green and gold and yellow
The wheat and the corn and the sunflowers nodding their heads in the breeze
The wind blows where it pleases
And the sky is as blue and as wide as newborn baby’s eyes
As the prairie spread wide out before me
The prairie spreads wide out before me
It’s green and grey and yellow
The wind picks a leaf and blows it down the lane
As we walk through the meadow
Picking pumpkins from the patch to take them home
And the sky is as blue and as wide as newborn baby’s eyes
As the prairie spread wide out before me
The prairie spreads wide out before me
It’s white and bright and shining
The trees are bare; we wander there
Each footstep crinkles in the freshly fallen field of snow
We watch a rabbit running as we go
And the sky is as blue and as wide as newborn baby’s eyes
As the prairie spread wide out before me
The prairie spreads wide out before me
It’s indigo and blue
The deepest shades of indigo and blue
And the brightest shining moon
And the sky is as blue and as wide as newborn baby’s eyes
As the prairie spread wide out before me
The prairie spreads wide out before me
Yes the prairie spreads wide out before me.
