Free Pattern Friday!

Needed:
125 yards of bulky weight yarn
 Two large buttons (Ceramic are awesome!)

The entire piece is knitted in garter stitch, so every row is always knitted.
The first stitch after a turn is always slipped. Use a wrap and turn method you like. This piece is intended to display awesome buttons and handspun yarn, so pick accordingly.

Cast on 70 stitches
Row 1: knit
row 2: knit 30, wrap and turn
row 3: knit
row 4: knit 20, wrap and turn
row 5: knit
row 6: knit 15, wrap and turn
row 7: knit
row 8: knit 12, wrap and turn
row 9: knit
row 10: knit 9, wrap and turn
row 11: knit
row 12: knit 6 rap and turn
row 13: knit row 14: knit 3, wrap and turn
row 15: knit 
row 16: knit entire
row picking up all the wraps as you go.
rows 17-19: knit
row 20: knit 5, bind off 3, knit to end
row 21: knit to bound off stitches, using half hitch cast on add 3 stitches, knit to end
rows 22 through and forward: knit when there is 2 inches of knitting since the button hole (measure from button hole to leading edge) repeat
rows 20 and 21 creating another button hole.
you will do this one more time, creating a third button hole. measure from button hole edge to leading edge of knitting and add button hole in pattern, when you reach 2 inches) knit 4 rows repeat pattern starting with row 2 through row 16.
knit 2 rows knit rows 4-16 once more. finish with 3 rows of knitting bind off, weave ends, affix buttons on narrow end of cowl.
