Your dying has come out very nice. Did you use alum as your mordant? I got a spindle from MSWF that was made by a potter too, that is my favorite but it is like an orb with a slight point on the end where you spin with it. It is a supported spindle and it came with a little bowl to spin in. I wish I would have bought more of them because at the last fest i didn't see the lady who made them and couldn't remember her business name. Oh well, I know I'll stumble across her one of these years. I wish I was into spinning when I took a pottery class then I could have tried making one, just wasn't very good on the wheel. Pinch post and hand building were more to my liking. It really is a neat idea how you put your fibers together in bouquets, very clever marketing. : )
